There aren’t too many things that make me happy. One thing that does is seeing how depressed people get when coming to work on a Monday morning. They slowly waddle to their desks as they realize they have a long week in front of them. Monday morning is the epitome of a downer. Well, Mondays, being audited by the IRS, and going to the DMV are the essentials of a good downer.
Most of the time, everyone can barely stay awake because of what you don’t get enough of in bed. There’s always one excessively chipper person who everyone wants to hit in the face with a sledge hammer. The type of person who can’t be as happy as they let on. These are the people who ruin what would otherwise be a glorious day for me since one of my hobbies is watching people who are having a bad day. Usually these happy Monday morning people are more depressed than the rest of us so I try to think about that on their particularly chipper days. That and the fact that I have a sledge hammer in my car.
