Derren Brown Using Conversational Hypnosis

I am going to give you some information about a technique called conversational hypnosis. This is where you are able to influence what people think and do. Unsurprisingly, many people have made themselves famous by practicing this.

Probably the most well known person for conversational hypnosis skills in the UK is Derren Brown. He has conducted many live TV shows and documentaries where he has shown these skills with astonishing effects.

Derren Brown’s skills are so amazing that they extend to enabling most people to simply forget anything. For example, in an episode of one of his TV programs, he asked a few unsuspecting people on an underground train which stop they planned to get off at.

He would then speak to them for a moment, ask them again and their mind would be completely blank. He would then speak to them again and they would instantly remember.

Another episode featured Derren simply asking a man in the street to go to his own bank and withdraw 5000. Amazingly, the man willingly did this and handed the money over to Derren with no questions asked.

Derren then erased the memory from this persons mind and they had absolutely no idea that they had done this. Even when they were showed the video of the events taking place they still had no recollection of it.

This was just a demonstration of how conversational hypnosis works so the man did get his money back. However, as you’ve probably guessed, not everyone is as honest. For example, there was a incident in America whereby a hypnotist persuaded bank and shop workers to willingly hand him money which he then stole.

It is safe to say that conversational hypnosis is very strong when it is used. Therefore it is used for all sorts of things around the world – even curing an addiction.
