Planning the Ultimate Executive Office Suite

Planning a quality Executive Office environment is more than just creating a “nice” working environment, but is an essential to provide a healthy, safe and creative place to be.
High specification desks and well designed seating are not just aesthetically pleasing but are essential. When a substantial number of working days are lost through ailments such as repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and back pain, the design of Desks, Seating, Storage Furniture and the overall Office Environment are not just “nice to have’s” but essentials.
The Health and Safety Executive in the United Kingdom indicates that about one sixth of working time lost through sickness is due to back pain, and this applies to 80% of the UK population.
Even for the low to average wage earner this equates to measurable financial loss for the average company. When applied to Executive posts the costs can be considerable, and could spell disaster for any business.
These simple facts alone speak volumes about why good furniture design, particularly for seating and desking is not just desirable but essential and the cost not expenditure but investment.
When creating the Executive Office, with so much at stake, consideration of the threat of the financial effect of getting the design wrong is of vital importance and adequate risk assessment of the consequences of getting it wrong are critical.
All of these “essentials” provide just the first steps in reasoning out how to create the space for Key Executives.
Making the working environment a pleasurable space to be in by providing well designed furniture, lighting, storage, fittings, decoration is all about giving value which can pay back many times over, including improving staff retention.
So whether considering opening new offices or refurbishing existing it is a grave and potentially costly mistake to go for the cheap option and minimum of design consideration.

Running a business can be hard. A lot of the time it is necessary to hire a debt collection agency for help collecting money that is owed. However, if companies take a position of prevention, they may not require using the assistance of a third party collections agency. Knowing the client or customer can be extremely useful for filtering out potential problems.
First, a business should figure out the full legal name of the client that it wants to do business with. The business structure should be known. Is it a corporation or a partnership? The names, titles and addresses of the principal members should be collected.
It is key to find out the federal employer tax identification number. The telephone number, ship to address, name, fax number and email address of the main contact should be established as well. Also, the bill to address, fax number and telephone number of the accounts payable contact is a useful piece of information to know. Individuals authorized to submit orders should be listed.
Ask about bank references. Find out what the bank\’s name is. The branch address, fax and telephone numbers, account types, account numbers and dates opened can be useful information. The name of the bank representative should be also be collected.
Finally, the terms and conditions of sale should be acknowledged and accepted by the client\’s signature. The customer\’s signature, printed name, date of signing and title should be collected, and always have the company\’s lawyer look over any documents before use.
Be aware of the customer\’s credit history and keep decent communication through phone calls or personal visits. Keep an up to date delivery of goods and services, and up to date records and accounts receivable information. Mail out memos and letters to remind the client about the money owed and keep them up to date.
Join an industry credit group and participate actively. It is crucial to know the laws in the state that the company is in regarding collections and business proposals. Ways Of Eliminating Rats In Your Home
January 23, 2010 by Joan Lopez
Rats are rodents that often infest homes and are one of the most irritating pests. They cause so much annoyance that most people wish to exterminate them as soon as possible. The following suggestions can be of much help if you want to get rid of these household pests.
Rat elimination requires you to put baited traps at suitable locations all around the residence, particularly at places which are regularly used by rats, like exits and entrances. It is essential to understand that rats have an adjustable spine and can squeeze into very small spaces. Therefore you must make sure that there are traps placed at the small gaps and holes present in the house.
Another effective rat elimination method, which has been in use for ages, is rat poison, but it is preferable not to use it if there are kids or animals in your home. One of the newest methods to deal with the problem is through sonic devices, which are used extensively by pest control agencies. But you should be cautious that you have decided on how to dispose off the dead rodents before you begin with any extermination technique.
It is pertinent to note that extermination is a lot more than just killing, and while it is important to work upon the immediate requirement of removal of rats, it is also crucial to make sure that the nagging problem does not arise again and therefore steps should be taken to rat proof your home. Rat proofing is a hard task but it is highly effective in putting an end to the problem for good. You must block all entrances and exits when they are not in use, and if you have a garden, then you should regularly clean and care for it to ensure that rats do not inhabit the area.
Bad sanitation and the presence of garbage help rats to live in residential places. Having a good sanitation will reduce the number of rats in the place. A good housework, correct storage and handling of food materials, and elimination of potential rodent shelter are just some of proper sanitation. Dog pens must be properly maintained to trim down potential rat problems. Get rid of clutter around your place. Good sanitation will not eliminate most of the rats but will make the rat incapable to thrive.
Hiring the services of a competent pest control agency can be quite helpful for proper execution of the extermination plan and their suggestions will go a long way in ensuring that you do not have to confront this serious problem again.

CCTV, commonly known as closed-circuit television means the utilization of the video cameras that send out a signal to a specific place in a closed loop, with totally detached from the external system. A surveillance system is a tool the sees the overview of the area scope.
CCTV cameras are great for surveillance in zones such as commercial establishments, office rooms, restaurants, parking lots, and private homes. They are used to monitor the movements of employees, tourists, nannies. They are used to protect important things such as vaults, safety deposit boxes, and other areas the may need an observer.
Next to with technology advancement and evolution to digital, system expenses have dropped noticeably. The major criteria for requirement and types of video surveillance systems are the following :
- Types cameras depending on location: indoor and outdoor – Interior room types: miniature, hidden, box, bullet, dome, IP – Types outdoor rooms: box, bullet, dome, wireless – Rooms depending on lens types: Wide-angle (large angles) and normal – Room types depending on sensor: CMOS, CCD, color, black & white
CCTV behavior
The CCTV camera registers the data and it transmit it to the server. The server gathers data and stores or displays them openly on certain screens. Of course, the image can be accessed online, depending on needs and system. If you have one, a server can choose a stand-alone DVR (Stand Alone Digital Video Recorder).
How to realize transmission from the server room?
Method 1: UTP Cable Method 2: coaxial cable Method 3: Wireless Method 4: Fiber Optic
The assessment should to be taken based on the available resources.
Where does it work?
The CCTV cameras can be found indoor or outdoor. Whether they are indoor or outdoor, some are weather and tamper proof r while others do not, various cameras may make out in complete darkness using infrared, others not.
You have to noticeably set up where cameras are positioned, what degrees will “see” them and the setting in which they are placed. What power supply you utilize? Camera movement is needed? (Left right, up, down, near / far, motion sensor, manual or automatic) What is the expanse? All these queries need to be answered at the time you make your mind up to put in a CCTV system.
The CCTV camera is IP supported and therefore it is using a 32 bit number that is exceptional and facilitates like a network address. The cameras will be linked all the way through the network and they can be maneuvered from all over the globe because they have a worldwide unique IP address.
The CCTV cameras are digital and this is the reason they offer a very high quality of the image and all the information is digitally stored on the hard disk. Thus, there will be no danger of degradation of the quality of the image, like it might happen with the analog equipment. The method the user needs to search the images is very sophisticated and it does not resemble the analog systems. All the CCTV system is driven by a software and thus you can access a certain moment that interests you instantly. You will not need to rewind or fast forward a tape anymore for finding the information that you need.
Viewing the images almost everywhere is one of the advantages of CCTV IP. You can check up on things practically anywhere and anytime giving a sense of peace and the feeling of being protected even away from home.
With further technological developments, CCTV in the future will certainly have many uses and will be used on a greater scale. Its implementation in mega cities paved the way to gaining worldwide recognition. London for example greatly benefited from this system. CCTV cameras are highly adaptable in different environment and there is no wonder why security manufacturers will involve it in many projects and developments. CCTV systems and hidden cameras are very important in homes for protection and safety of all those who you love. Investing in CCTV cameras are better than to suffer the consequences of having none.
A hidden camera presents important choices in reaching covert surveillance. Hidden cameras are helpful tool and will continue to be a best choice.

A counter top is a horizontal work surface in kitchens & food preparation areas. Commonly, cabinets are installed above and below. Many different materials, such as stone, to wood, to plastic, to tiles, & even steel, among many others, can be used in making counter tops.
Many items are now available which are durable, but also great looking and eco conscious, because of the growing awareness for the environment. So if you\’re searching for a new counter top & are leaning to something that are a little gentler on the earth than laminate or stone, there are now many alternatives available that are made from recycled products, can be recycled at end-of-life — or are both recycled & recyclable — or are made from renewable resources.
Some of the greener counter top options are as follows:
1. Stainless steel – On the average, Stainless steel counter tops consist of 75% recycled steel and can contain up to 100% recycled content. They are non-porous & antibacterial, and emit no VOCs. The only downside is they scratch & show fingerprints easily.

Learning the Mechanics of Speed Reading
November 30, 2009 by Dr. Jay Polmar

The human mind is an extraordinary force of which we only use a very small portion. In this book, \”Speed Reading in only One Hour\” I will demonstrate how to tap some of that unused power and use it for your own success in high school, college, and life.
Your brain is capable of understanding from 10,000 – 50,000 units of data per minute; one unit equals one word. This information is based upon old statistics (1980\’s). Based on recently developed speed reading technology, and strides in brain and mind development, you can achieve even greater reading speeds.
The average high school graduate, when tested, reads about 250 words per minute. The college student reads at about 300 words per minute. But, no matter what your beginning reading speed, don\’t worry, it is only the starting line. Imagine what an advantage you will have to be able to read over 100% faster than you had before; the possibilities are limitless.
We receive information through our five physical senses, (touching, tasting, hearing, smelling, and seeing) and through those senses we make decisions. We make choices and judgments from various factors that the physical senses bring into play. The five physical senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch) are preprogrammed for automatic response.
We learn in many way, not only from physical senses, but through other forms of thought. Most thinking is conscious in nature. Senses, on the other hand, work automatically. An example of an automatic response might be: when a hungry teenager smells pizza, he or she begins salivating. Or was that Pavlov\’s dog? Actually, it\’s the same! What\’s taking place is that the sense of smell (called olfactory senses) has automatically brought up a thought, \”PIZZA\”, to the brain and mind. The thought may be unconscious.
Sensing food is a physical expression of your sense smell and possibly taste. It is a mental sensation (unconsciously or consciously) through your thought processes. And finally, there seems to be a physical sensation by eating, swallowing, and smiling. To summarize the PIZZA concept here: Mind is where the \”action\” is — and your body is where your \”reaction\” is.
The brain and the mind hold enormous untapped potential; We\’re going to help you tap into that potential through Speed Reading in One Hour, available at speedread.org, and we\’ll show you how you can succeed in your college life and beyond.

The Four Ways of Managing Returned Goods
November 28, 2009 by Deborah Collins
In supply chain management process, returns management is the part which deals with the material returned from retail stores. The activities that are covered as part of returns management are reverse logistics, gate-keeping, and avoidance. Although organizations have ERP or SAP software to manage forward logistics supply chain program, sometimes they fail to include the returns management process into the program.
Companies most often give least priority to returned material; but returned goods should be accounted for in the right manner so that the organization is able to do some re-work and covert them into ROI again. The returned materials are usually divided into four categories: items for re-packing, items for repair, items for re-work and items for scrap.
Items for re-packing are those that require immediate attention because the defect lies only in the primary or secondary packaging and not with the product. Once done, the items are again sent back to line or sometime, even to the same retailer. This activity is usually completed in 24 hours time to avoid any other kind of delay.
The items listed under repair are those that need to undergo minimum amount of re-work on them. Here, the manufacturer may have to allocate jobs or tasks to other divisions or departments to take up the jobs as part of their regular work schedule. Sometimes, they are assigned as high-priority tasks.
The items listed under rework are those that may require large amount of activity. They have some parts damaged or in bad condition, which may require the material to be sent back to the start of the supply chain process. Since this process takes a long time to get back to sales line, it is left to the discretion of the manufacturer.
The items that cannot be repaired or reworked need to be scrapped with immediate effect. The manufacturer earns from scrap yard sales, so it is critical to make the ’scrap’ decision faster.
By getting the best solution implemented for reverse product flow, the organization will be able to recycle or rework on the goods and send them back to sales line as soon as possible. Supply chain solutions from leading market players are capable of seamlessly integrating with existing supply chain management solutions and bring economic benefits to the enterprise.
Returns management solutions from leading supply chain solutions can add money value to returned goods.

This electronic device is greatly appreciated by many business and homeowners because of the protection and the accurate records of vital events it gives to them. Most business owners take the initiative to invest in video surveillance to monitor the entire operation of their work force and business. Hard Money Lender Database. How to Get Funded For Real!
November 24, 2009 by James Scott
As the economy worsens it’s getting more and more difficult to fund business ventures. After you’ve gone through the basics of a well written business plans and a private placement memorandum, where do you go from there? One issue that entrepreneurs come into is that they will get stuck on a link wheel that keeps them bouncing from one scam site to the next and they can waste months chasing after investment capital and at the end of the day have nothing but an empty bank account to show for it.
The latest blind siding scams are the ’shelf corp.’ or ‘aged corp.’ scam which claims to be able to get you hundreds of thousands of dollars of credit based off of a phony D and B rating and a credit score based off of bogus trade lines. This is an expensive scam, with most of these shelf corporations running anywhere from $8,000 to $20,000. The reality is, you can’t get funding with a shelf corp. No one has or ever will get funding from this fraudulent concept. Another scam is the ‘forgivable loan’ program that is supposedly based in some offshore platform trading process where it allows a company to loan millions of dollars to an individual based off of the humanitarian aspects of their business model, oh, I forgot to mention, they usually require a mandatory cash deposit equal to 20% of the amount of the forgivable loan.
It sounds crazy but professionals that become desperate for funding fall into this trap all the time. The truth is, there are ways to get funding with a credit check using a private placement memorandum and there are companies out there that will make a loan to a company based mostly in the strength of their business process. Actually, if you have a good business model and a solid executive staff there are many companies that will give you money such as accredited investors, private investors, private equity firms, hard money lenders, SBLC collateralize lenders among others.
Just do some research under terms like: investor network, investor database, angel investor directory, angel investor database, list of accredited investors etc. and find some of the newer online databases that have come into existence within the past year or so. These sites are valuable because they came online when the economy was at it’s lowest point so their funding sources are composed of innovative global contacts that are actually lending in this fickle economic environment and not the oblivious land of yesteryear.
The funding game has changed and the process of obtaining capital is more difficult than ever. Arm yourself with a good business plan, strategic PPM and a solid online investor database to raise capital quickly and easily.
Visit a real global Investor Database, This site has over 20,000 incredible funding contacts that will help you get funding fast and without the headaches. For Private Investors, Angel Investors, Venture Capital Firms andAccredited Investors
Take Your Company Public and Get The Right Publicity
November 22, 2009 by James Scott

Are you sick of publicity and marketing agencies that just can’t get it right? Do you want to fine tune your publicity marketing plan. Publicity without tapping into the emotions of the individual is just a blur of words and sounds in a language that no one can understand. Publicity that plays the strings of human emotion suddenly becomes the sirens song that brings the masses to your doorstep. Publicity with an aim of tugging at the heart, getting to the root of human desire and the call to action as the solution to all their emotional, spiritual and greedy needs transforms a simple branding message into a ‘come to Jesus’ message at the end of a televangelists tent meeting where the mind and heart have been softened and the masses come clamoring to the front to be saved.
Tapping into the emotions of the public must be done in a stealthy manner. The publicist or marketing professional must place the media in such a way where the future client is constantly bouncing into the brand message each day.
One of the most powerful ways to do this is by understanding the subconscious mind of the client so that their online web search habits can be predicted and patterned so that in every direction they are being politely bombarded with your brand message as the be all and end all solution for whatever ails them.
This can be achieved by tapping into the various genres of online media such as video, blog, social book marking and press release and article directories just to name a few. Material existence is a blurred vision on a gray wall, the infusion of mind and emotion is what brings color and definition to our reality.
It’s the same thing with internet publicity marketing; words are meaningless without the element of emotion which add color, feeling and definition to the message being passed along to the public.

Build Confidence With Your Team For Better Growth
November 22, 2009 by Martin Haworth
Building confidence in your employees is very important, not just for you as a manager, but for the business as a whole. If you have employees who lack confidence you may not get the best performance out of them in the jobs they complete. This will lead to poor levels of confidence throughout the team and even organization as a whole.
Do you know if you have employees who are lacking confidence? If not watch them to see their behaviors and how they are as they carry out their work. There are often a number of clues to identify employees who aren’t that confident.
You need to watch your employees and their behaviors to figure out where their confidence level may be at. You may notice that some employees have a tendency to struggle while at work. If it gets to be frequently, you are likely to have an employee who is suffering from lacking confidence.
Having an employee who finds work worrying is a sure sign to lack of confidence and possibly a lot more. They could be having serious problems and are extremely overwhelmed. Though you may not have a hands-on policy to provide support in this way, you may want to begin one.
How does an employee propose ideas to you? If they start by saying that it may be a stupid idea, or that it won’t work, well, yes they are most likely lacking the confidence they need to help out to their full potential.
But you may find out that something else is wrong and it needs to be handled differently. In that case you may need to involve your human resources experts and try and help that employee out in more appropriate ways.
By involving your people in meetings, those who are lacking confidence will usually be quiet during this time – many people are. They don’t have the courage to speak up when it’s needed, but if you do a round table discussion maybe they will open up more and that will help their confidence, as long as you ensure that what they say is valued and certainly not ridiculed by anyone.
If their issues are something that you are able to help them with, really do take the time consider it. Because your business is only going to run as well as your employees can deliver for you. Employees who are lacking confidence or are unhappy will not bring the success you seek.
By working on complimenting those employees whether they are not confident or if they are is important. You should always praise good ideas and people who do a good job.
The improved confidence your support provides, will help them will work better and be more proficient in their jobs, which is always of value.
